We absolutely love weddings.
We love the excitement, the happy tears, the chaos, the dance floor antics, and all those little moments in between that make every wedding day so special.
But more than anything, we love people.
One of our favourite parts of being wedding photographers and filmmakers is getting to know our couples. We spend so much time together on one of the biggest days of your lives that, by the end of it, it often feels less like work and more like we’ve gained new friends.
And honestly, the likelihood of us becoming best friends is definitely not zero.
In fact, when we got married ourselves, three of the couples at our 50 person wedding were people we had originally met through filming and photographing their weddings. One couple even ended up being part of our wedding party!
That’s the kind of relationships this job creates.
Because for us, being a Northern Ireland based wedding photographer isn’t simply about turning up with cameras and leaving once the confetti has settled. It’s about building genuine connections and being invited into people’s lives during some of their most important milestones.
The funny thing about weddings is that they’re often just the beginning.
After the vows come the anniversaries.
Then maybe a first home.
A new puppy.
A pregnancy announcement.
A tiny newborn wrapped up in a blanket.
A first birthday party.
A family that grows and changes in beautiful, unexpected ways.
We’ve been lucky enough to witness this with so many of our couples. Recently, we attended the first birthday party of one of our wedding couples’ little boy, and standing there watching them celebrate as parents was incredibly special. It was a reminder that we don’t just capture wedding days, we get to watch love stories continue to unfold.
That’s why we absolutely love offering anniversary shoots, family sessions, maternity photoshoots, and lifestyle photography across Northern Ireland and Ireland.
Because who says celebrating life’s milestones stops at your wedding day?
Some of our favourite photographs have been taken years after we first met a couple. A husband and wife returning with their toddler in tow. A couple celebrating ten years of marriage. A family recreating photos from their engagement shoot. These sessions hold so much meaning because there’s history there. There’s trust, friendship, and a story we’ve had the privilege of documenting from the very beginning.
As a Northern Ireland family photographer and wedding photographer, there is nothing more rewarding than seeing familiar faces return in new seasons of life.
Your wedding day might be where our journey together begins, but we’d absolutely love to be there for the chapters that follow too.
Because the best stories don’t end with “I do.” That’s usually where they really begin.
